1st Annual Taste of the Cape

The Eastham Chamber’s inaugural TASTE OF THE CAPE at the Four Points Sheraton last Thursday was an evening filled with neighbors enjoying the best of Eastham.

The food served was over the top, allowing attendees to sample an overflowing smorgasbord of epicurean delights. Our food partners definitely deserve a very special thank you for their support that made the event possible. They provided a spectacular assortment of more than two dozen different tummy-pleasing dishes. These generous benefactors included Nick Nickerson and Arnold’s Lobster & Clam Bar, Elaine Gremila and the Chocolate Café, Jacqui Frost and Bellamy’s Grille & Bar at the Four Points Sheraton, Janet Demetri and the Friendly Fisherman Fish & Chips, Donna Perry and Guapo’s Tortilla Shack, Sanette Groenewald and Karoo Restaurant, Mac Gallant and the Local Break, Joanne Cremins and Nauset Ice Cream, Russ Swart and Russ & Marie’s Marconi Beach BBQ & Seafood Restaurant, Bill & Karen Stewart and Stewart’s Seafood Restaurant, and Diane & Peter Hall and Van Rensselaer’s Restaurant & Raw Bar.

Live music was provided by the Cape Cod Slackers. Flower arrangements were provided by Flowers by Mary in Orleans. Each attendee received a beach tote loaded with coupons, gifts, recipes and specials.

Proceeds from the Taste of the Cape will help support Eastham organizations that contribute to the Conservancy of Eastham’s Heritage. This year’s beneficiaries include the Eastham Historical Society, the Henry Beston Society and the Eastham Dog Owners Association.
