Business News Update June 1, 2016

You have worked so hard to get your business ready for the season to begin, but all of the fresh paint, landscaping and fancy new displays will not be a substitute for good customer service.

Nothing beats “Word of Mouth” if you want your business to do more than survive. Anyone can throw a chocolate mint on a tip tray, or retreat to autopilot with a perfunctory “Thanks”. However, with just a short phrase, “Thanks for (shopping, dining, staying) at . . . I hope you’ll stop in again.” that mint becomes a gift from a person that your customer will have to revisit, and more importantly, recommend that your friends visit.

This is a very simple lesson with a very powerful impact. This is a BEST PRACTICE, and its implementation should be a priority.
